2026 Tackle höjd
Med flera års forskning i Europa och i resten av världen som stöd har SRF beslutat att anta regeln där höjden för tillåten tackling begränsas till bröstbenet (sternum), i linje med de regler som redan gäller i ett växande antal länder inom Rugby Europe.
Från och med säsongen 2026 sänks den tillåtna tacklinghöjden till bröstbenet, vilket (se presentation) har visat sig minska risken för hjärnskakning i rugbymatcher på alla nivåer.

After years of research, across Europe and the rest of the world, the SRF have decided to adopt the sternum tackle height which will bring us in line with community rugby in a growing number of nations within Rugby Europe. For the 2026 seasion we will lower the tackle height to the sternum which, as you will see in the presentation attached, has been proven to lower the risk of concussion in rugby matches at all levels.
